As a Volunteer Reading Helper at Reading Friends, you will help children improve their reading skills and get the best out of life. You simply listen to children reading one by one or in groups and guide them with pronunciation. You also advise on emphasis and comprehension. And you'll encourage and praise children in their efforts. It's a wonderful way to give back to the community and help kids if they struggle with reading. You'll make a big difference in their lives and get an immense sense of reward for volunteering your time. You just need to give one hour per week during school hours, or more if you wish, and the hours are flexible.
