If you like the company of older people and would like to give some time back to your community, join the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme. You'll improve the quality of life for older people in your area and brighten someone's day. As a volunteer visitor, you'll regularly visit someone at home or in aged care who may be lonely or feeling isolated. You'll enjoy a cuppa, a chat, a game, or a gentle walk together. In most aged care facilities, you could work in the garden or maintenance, or help in admin.
