St George Community Transport STGCT

STGCT provides transport to local residents who are frail, aged, or people with disability. If you have some spare time, consider volunteering and enjoy giving back to your community. You could work in a variety of roles in the south Sydney area including volunteer driving. You’ll be helping to transport people to appointments, shopping, or activities. You can work as a volunteer carer, working with the drivers to assist people getting in and out of vehicles and chatting with people during outings. Or you can work in the Volunteer Visitors Scheme, visiting older people in their homes who may be at risk of loneliness or isolation. You can have a chat and a cuppa, play a game, or go for a gentle walk with your new friend. You’ll brighten their day, and you’ll enjoy meeting new people. It’s a wonderful way to stay active and involved, share your life skills, and help people.
