If you have some spare time and would like to help people in your local hospital during a difficult time, try volunteering. There are many different roles you can work in, from showing people how to get around the hospital, serving tea to patients, to working as an activities volunteer. Some of the things you might do in this role may include running a bingo session, playing piano to patients, or running a craft session. Or you may help patients remember key things in their lives by creating a 'Forget me Not' flower. You’ll be brightening their day and connecting to people who may feel lonely. You’ll enjoy giving back and making a positive difference while making new friends along the way.
