State Library SA

If you enjoy reading and like to surround yourself with books, volunteer at the State Library. You can volunteer in a wide variety of roles to help make the collections more accessible. If you like dealing with the public, work as an Ambassador at the State Library. Ambassador guides provide tours for individuals and small groups. You’ll provide a high-quality visitor experience for people from a wide range of backgrounds and with a diverse range of needs and expectations. Or you can work behind the scenes to help make digital collections more accessible and more meaningful so that everyone can use and share them. You can make oral history more accessible by helping to listen and tag stories. There are many other interesting roles to get involved in and you can offer as much or little time as you can spare. It’s a wonderful way to keep learning, stay active and busy, and meet lots of like-minded people.
