Volunteer meal

Streethearts

Streethearts manages regular programs that help disadvantaged people in and around Sydney. Each public holiday throughout the year “mobile food” is offered to approximately 150 homeless men and women. There’s a pasta “drop-in lunch” for people who find themselves alone at Easter. Streethearts also helps women from Emu Plains Correctional Centre re-establish themselves in society. This includes providing furniture, bedding, and basic living essentials. You can volunteer to help in so many ways like fundraising for warm PJs for children in need. You could help to prepare and serve food. Or you can deliver food or hampers. You could help collect donations. At Christmas, you can put together Christmas hampers and help at drop-in Christmas lunches. Volunteering is a wonderful way to help people less fortunate than you. You will feel a sense of reward, stay active and involved, and meet many people along the way.
