Volunteer support

Stroke Foundation QLD

The Stroke Foundation supports people who have had a stroke and their families. If you have been affected by a Stroke, consider volunteering to support the foundation. You can help to spread the word about its work and educate people about strokes. As a volunteer, you will work with people who have had a Stroke with varying degrees of disability and communication levels. You could help to run meetings and activities or the setup of tables and chairs. You could assist people from a bus/car into a venue, make tea/coffee, and help with food preparation. You can provide emotional support and friendship to members. It's a wonderful way for you to keep active and stay involved. You’ll be helping people and meeting like-minded volunteers and members to socialise. Contact the foundation to find out more about volunteering at a group near you.
