Cultural LGBTQ

Switchboard

Switchboard provides support services for LGBTIQA+ (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer, asexual) people, their families, allies and communities. If you would like to support the organisation, volunteer to help. You can work on the peer-based telephone and web counselling service. Or you can help with the Out and About home-based visiting service. It's for older LGBTI people at risk of social isolation. You’ll befriend a socially isolated older person and catch up with them in person at least once a fortnight over 12 months. It’s a great way to brighten someone’s day and give back to your community. Volunteering is a wonderful way to stay connected, keep active and involved, and meet like-minded people. Volunteers are peers so all volunteers must be LGBTIQA+ or questioning.
