Become a volunteer writing tutor to help bring the power of writing, confidence, and creativity to young people across NSW. Sydney Story Factory works closely with schools to run fun writing workshops for kids from under-resourced communities. You don’t have to be a formally trained teacher to help. You need to be a good listener with an encouraging nature. Volunteering usually involves one-on-one contact with a few students every week for a term. But you can also sign up to help in other ways. You can help with drawing, typing, or even selling cans of gravity in the retail space. You will make a meaningful difference, meet like-minded people, and learn from others. It's a wonderful way to stay connected to the community, stay active, and make friends.
