Tabulam and Templer Homes for the Aged
If you like older people and have some spare time, volunteer for the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme. You’ll provide companionship through voluntary visits to older people who could be at risk of loneliness, in their home or aged care facility. You’ll help them to keep a social connection and improve their quality of life. You may offer companionship over a cuppa, teach or learn a new language or skill, or make music together. You might enjoy playing cards and board games, discussing sport, politics, or history, or going for a gentle walk in the garden together. It’s a wonderful way to give back to your community, help other people, make friends, and stay active.
