Tai chi is an ancient Chinese martial art. It is a moving meditation with a series of gentle exercises. The exercises are known to create harmony between the mind and body. Tai chi improves your strength, flexibility, and balance. It's thought to improve heart fitness, lower blood pressure, and prevent falls. It can also help if you have arthritis and is an ideal activity for older people and beginners. Join the classes on Sunday and Monday mornings and Wednesday evening at Livingstone Community Centre in Yeppoon. There is also a class on Thursday morning at Emu Park Swim & Gym. Classes and locations may change so please check the time and venue details first.
