The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide

If you enjoy gardening or like dealing with people, try volunteering for the Botanic Gardens. You can work on the committee, help with the newsletter and mailouts, work in the office, or promotions and events. You can also join the team of Garden Guides, a trained group of Friends who take guided walks in all three Botanic Gardens or work in the visitor information centre. If you prefer to be more hands-on, join the Growing Group. It’s a hard-working group propagating and tending plants in the Mt Lofty Botanic Garden Plant Nursery. There is also a range of basic maintenance roles where you can put your practical skills to good use. It’s a wonderful way to stay active and involved and keep learning new things. You’ll enjoy giving back to the community and meeting like-minded people.
