The Neighbourhood Centre Bathurst

The Neighbourhood Centre Bathurst
Your local neighbourhood centre offers a variety of services to the community. The centre is a hub for people in the area to go to get advice, keep active, and get out of the house to meet people. The centre relies on volunteers to keep these services going. If you have some spare time and would like to help people in your community, try volunteering at the centre. You can help by teaching people to read and write or teaching people English as their second language. Or you can help with the homework club or as a youth volunteer. If you prefer, you can work in admin, on reception, or use your skills to work as a learner driver supervisor. There is also work in the D-Caf, a cafe for people with dementia to socialise. There are so many ways to get involved and connect with people. You’ll use your life skills, make a difference, and make new friends.
