University of the Third Age (U3A) is a worldwide voluntary organisation. It promotes learning for personal enjoyment and satisfaction to retired people. U3A caters for older people by offering many classes each week. You can get involved in a wide range of social activities on offer. These can include activities like mah-jong, bike-riding, dancing, table tennis, and card games for fun. You can often join a history group, craft or book club, art, computer club, morning melodies, a community choir, and much more. It's a great way to keep mentally and socially active and learn new things. Courses vary in each U3A, so check the course timetable for what's on each term.
