Join one of the Umbrella social support programs to make new friends. Join their Home at Home programs with small groups of people who share a common language, culture, spirituality, or interests. You can meet for a shared morning tea, lunch, and recreational outings. Or join the Party at Basia’s to meet fortnightly on Friday afternoons for a high tea and to do something fun. You can try the Eureka program and the Internet Café social group to learn new computer/mobile skills. You can find out more about a broad range of topics from cyber security to arts and music, all at your own pace in a fun environment. Join Golden Challenge for a range of exciting activities such as night shopping, culinary adventures, and late-night walks. And there’s a weekly Men’s Shed program for multicultural older men. It’s a chance to work on group projects and sculpt, build, and carve projects in a workshop.
