Uniting Agewell VIC

Uniting Agewell VIC
If you would like to connect with older people who are socially isolated, try volunteering with Uniting Agewell. As a volunteer, you will make a positive impact in your community and on the life of someone else. You can help with transporting clients, gardening, entertainment, events, or office admin. Or you can volunteer in the Aged Care Visitors Scheme. You’ll visit older people in your local area who would enjoy regular contact, a chat, and social outings. It involves visiting someone at home for an hour or two once a week or sharing an outing to the cinema or a café. This flexible role is a great way to make a difference in someone’s life whilst also making a great contribution to your community. Volunteering is ideal for retirees who can spare two hours a week or fortnight. You’ll get to meet a wide range of people, stay active, and make friends. There are 52 Uniting Agewell centres in Victoria and 24 centres across Tasmania so visit the website provided to find a location near you.
