Volunteering Central Coast

Become a Volunteer Visitor to provide friendship and companionship to an older person living in an aged care home. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme supports older people who are socially isolated by matching them with a Volunteer Visitor for social visits. You’ll meet regularly with an older person in your local area. You’ll enjoy connecting with your new friend in ways you both enjoy such as a chat and a cuppa, playing a game, or going for a stroll. This helps them feel connected, reduces loneliness, and they will feel a sense of purpose. You, in turn, will feel good about giving back to the community and helping people. You’ll learn new things, share your skills, and meet like-minded people. Volunteer hours are flexible, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. Regular visits are for an hour either weekly (preferred) or fortnightly.
