Warrigal is a community-owned organisation that runs retirement living and aged care services. It has centres in the Illawarra, Southern Highlands, Queanbeyan, and Canberra regions. Consider volunteering some time to help ensure their residents’ happiness. You can get involved in a variety of roles from driving buses to regular visits and assisting with business operations. You can spend time organising activities such as table games, or if you prefer to be outdoors, you can help with gardening. You could brighten someone’s day with a weekly visit for a chat, a game, or a gentle walk. They’ll look forward to seeing you each week and you’ll make a new friend.
