Western Swifts

The Western Swifts is an LGBTQIA+ social group in Perth who get together to play badminton, meet new people, and sometimes share a meal. Badminton is a great, low-impact game that is ideal for older people. The group welcomes everyone from beginners to seasoned players who want to make friends and play badminton. Club members span a wide range of playing levels and abilities and whatever your experience is you'll be sure to find other players. You can join the longer Sunday session in Redcliffe from 9am to midday. Or the Tuesday game from 8pm to 10pm is for non-binary people and women. This is an initiative to promote diversity within the queer badminton space. There are also games in Wesley College Sports Club in South Perth on Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm or Fridays from 7pm to 9pm.
