WIRES - Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service
WIRES Volunteers help rescue and rehabilitate native Australian wildlife. If you are passionate about wildlife, consider volunteering. As a volunteer, you are trained in how to safely handle wildlife species and transport them. You can rescue and assist sick, injured, and orphaned native animals. You can decide on the level of activity and involvement you are comfortable with. You can choose to only rescue, rehabilitate, or both. There are also administrative roles that help support fundraising and branch management activities. Volunteering at WIRES is a wonderful way to give back and get involved in a cause you care about. It’s a way to stay busy and active and to meet like-minded people.
