You Matter

You Matter uses donated second-hand furniture to provide a fully functioning home for victims of domestic violence. If you have spare time, volunteer for the organisation and help people through a difficult time in their life. You would work in a small team to sort through and clean donated items once or twice a month. Volunteers wash, clean, package, and store household and furniture items ready for them to be delivered to new homes. Or you can help as a driver by collecting and delivering furniture, setting up the homes, and in other admin roles. Working bees are also held on various weekdays between 10am and 3pm. It’s a wonderful way to give back to your community, stay active and busy, and meet like-minded people.
